My name is Eugene. I’m a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under head coach Nick “Chewy” Albin at Derby City Martial Arts in Louisville, KY. I have been training in BJJ since 2008.

I have a Doctorate In Physical Therapy and have been practicing since 2009. I specialize in treatment of orthopaedic and sport-specific injuries and conditions and have dealt with a number of injuries of my own that I have had to overcome in my time training.

I have an interest in training, improving my physical and mental well-being through jiu-jitsu, injury prevention, and love all things grappling, strength training, and MMAjj1

You don't have to be a fighter to train Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.

You don't have to be a fighter to train Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.Eugene is your average guy in his 30s. A growing family, a career and 2 dogs that leave accidents on his floor. Watch the video and see how training Brazilian Jiu-jitsu relives his stress, gives him an outlet for his physical energy and allows him to be a part of a vibrant community.
